my car's alive! such a big scare though. Before swapping turbo's decided to do a compression test, 1st 2nd and 4th cylinder all read 140psi, 3rd.. a heartbreaking 10psi. I was pissed, choked, everything you could ever be. My piston rings were done, and I had mad blow by going on, so I decided to hit up speedtech and talk to Pat about what my options were. Rebuild, or new motor swap. Both would be time consuming and cost money that I really don't have right now, so I decided to leave it, and come back to it the next day.
So next day I work on it, just decide to swap turbo's just cause, holy I blew the second one worse then the 1st one, haha so bad. I ended up swapping the turbo in less than 2 hours, alot better than my first time of around 5 or 6. Let the car run for 10 minutes, and noticed the car was running so good, no misfiring or anything, there was no way I was missing a cylinder. Did another compression test and leak down test.. 130psi! 25% leak?!!? what the hell. Apparently my rings just got stuck, and I freed them up after doing a wet compression test. I'm so happy, got a mint turbo courtesy of Cody, and car is running amazing. Need a couple exhaust gaskets, and I'll be golden. Boosting and holding a stock 7 psi, and I'll bump it up soon. This means amateur event is a go, now just have to find some rubber!!
I missed my seat alot though, got really used to it, and driving in a stock s13 seat just doesnt cut it.
ps. I love you shaylee, everything is so amazing, and your the biggest thing in my world. thank you..
